Ewing – Wawa celebrates grand opening of new superstore

Ewing –
On Friday morning at 8 am the new Wawa located at 1300 Silvia St. & Parkway Ave. in Ewing officially open for business. Ewing Township Mayor Bert Steinmann, was on hand for the 10 AM ribbon cutting ceremony which marked the official opening.
Mayor Steinmann, stated the opening of this new Wawa means the addition of 40 local jobs for our residents, we are happy to have Wawa as a partner in our community they have already demonstrated what good neighbors they are by supporting our emergency responders and making a significant contribution to local charities including meals on wheels ,added Steinmann
The grand opening event included a hoagies for heroes hoagie building competition where members of the Ewing police department and the West Trenton volunteer fire company faced off to see who could build the most hoagies in three minutes in the traditional Wawa way. The Ewing Township Police Department won The competition and Wawa presented a $1000 check on their behalf to the Special Olympics.
To celebrate the grand opening Wawa is offering $.89 fountain beverages, $1.99 any size milkshakes, and $2.99 Shorti hoagies
