During the afternoon of Thursday, October 26, 2017, members of the Mercer County Sheriff s Office and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested fugitive JOSEPH FAUSTIN, JR. Faustin, 23, was located and taken into custody without incident, inside a residence on the first block of Spring Street, Bloomfield, Essex County, New Jersey.
Faustin had active warrants for his arrest issued by the Trenton Police Shooting Response Team for two (2) counts of criminal attempted homicide, two (2) counts of aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon (handgun), and related offenses stemming from a shooting that occurred in the City of Trenton on Camden Street, between Passaic and West Hanover Streets, on September 10, 2017.
“Our collaboration with the US Marshals Service and Trenton Police enables us to positively locate and capture dangerous fugitives wherever they run and hide,” said Sheriff Jack Kemler. “This apprehension marks just one of many successful criminal arrests made by our joint force this year”, added Kemler.
Faustin was turned over to Trenton Police, pending a court appearance
