On Thursday, November 2, 2017, a team from the Mercer County Sheriff s Office and the United States Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested JAMES SMITH.
Smith, 22, was located and taken into custody without incident from a hotel room on the 100 block of Route 130, in Bordentown, New Jersey.
Smith, of Hamilton Township, was charged with robbery – stemming from an attempted bank robbery that occurred on October 31, 2017 at a bank branch on the 300 block of Hamilton Avenue in Trenton.
“Once again, our collaboration with the US Marshals Service enables us to find criminals wherever they hide,” said Sheriff Jack Kemler. “This apprehension marks another successful criminal arrest made by our joint task force this year”
Smith was turned over to the Trenton Police Department, pending a court appearance
