Trenton fire department respond to a fire located at 48 Anderson St. in the Chambersburg section of Trenton Sunday morning
The fire broke out just before 10 AM Neighbors said they saw heavy smoke coming from an apartment building located in the middle of the block across the street from the old Barbero’s bakery. witnesses say they saw a young woman and men running from the building carrying a small child where they were seen standing by an automobile watching the fire fighters put out the blaze
The young couple who manage to make it out of the house with only a few possessions, were too distraught to speak with reporters on the scene the woman who had a guitar strapped to her back while the young man had a backpack and laptop in his hand stood by in disbelief. The victims who liveed upstairs stated the fire started in the first floor apartment.
The windows on the first floor apartment were boarded up when the fire broke out but neighbors who live nearby said the man who lived in the first floor apartment may have still been occupying the unit when the fire broke out.
There were no reports of serious injuries & the cause of the fire is being investigated by the Trenton fire department
