Police and paramedics are on the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of Passaic st near the intersection of Calhoun.
It was reported that there was at least one person shot.
Witnesses say they heard at least two dozen shots ring out just after 4 PM Friday afternoon.
Police have Passaic Street taped off from Calhoun to W. Hanover as they search the area for evidence & check nearby businesses for video.
One witness who did not give her name said all of a sudden I heard Pow Pow Pow people start running everywhere I dropped my cell phone, money and took off running.
Another man who was standing nearby watching the scene said he was sleeping when he heard the sound of gunfire that woke him up they shot up the whole block from one end to the other, I saw one person who look like they got shot in the foot and people were ducking for cover.
One neighbor who witnessed the aftermath describes how she saw a man picking up his child and running in a nearby alleyway taking cover. This is just sad,as she shook her head.
The victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center.
