Trenton City Clerk announces resignation

The Trenton post has learned that the Trenton city municipal clerk Dwayne M Harris has submitted a letter of resignation that will take effect on May 22, 2020.

In his resignation letter, the Clerk gave his thanks for the opportunity to work in the position. He said he thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated the opportunity, and that he feels he fulfilled his statutory duty of municipal clerk of the city of Trenton.

He continued to offer his best wishes to the Trenton residents, city council and mayor for their future success.

The resignation comes just days after the city of Trenton was put in the national spotlight again for the city councils dysfunctional behavior when West Ward Councilwoman Robin Vaughn exploded on Mayor Gusciora after being provoked during a conference call where she called the mayor a pedophile & drug addict.

Many political heavyweights have called for the resignation of Councilwoman Vaughn including Governor Phil Murphy, lieutenant governor Sheila Oliver, US Senator Cory Booker and Robert Menendez .
