Trenton Ironhawks Announce NHL & AHL Affiliations Ahead of First ECHL Home Game

The Trenton Ironhawks, who will host their first ECHL home game at CURE Insurance Arena on Saturday, October 24, 2026, have announced their affiliations with National Hockey League (NHL) and American Hockey League (AHL) teams.

On Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 11 a.m., the Ironhawks will formally partner with these teams to develop draft picks and young talent both on and off the ice, with the ultimate goal of bringing a Kelly Cup back to Trenton. Team President Bob Ohrablo, Mercer County Executive Dan Benson, Oak View Group’s Fran Rodowicz (General Manager of CURE Insurance Arena), and other special guests will share their thoughts on the importance of this alignment and how the Ironhawks’ success will contribute to the revitalization of the area while strengthening sports throughout Mercer County and the greater Trenton region.

The Ironhawks released their family-friendly schedule last week, with most games falling on Fridays, Saturdays, or Sundays. Theme nights and other promotional activities will be announced soon, along with the team’s first head coach and initial player signings.

The team is approaching 1,500 season membership deposits and will debut its new mascot in early June.

Tune in to the Trenton Post on Wednesday at 11 a.m. to learn who the new NHL affiliate will be, and follow along as we cover all Ironhawks games starting October 24.
