Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler announces the opportunity to dispose of unneeded and expired prescription drugs during the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 28, 2017.“The goal is to help local residents to rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription pills”, said Sheriff Kemler.
Mercer County residents can easily dispose of unused and expired prescription pills, by bringing them to the parking lot across from the Mercer County Administration Building at 640 South Broad Street in Trenton, between 10:00 A.M. and 2:00 P.M. Hypodermic needles or liquid solutions not accepted. Several municipal police departments throughout the county are expected to hold similar disposal events on the same day.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible method for disposing of unneeded and expired prescription pills. The program held each spring and fall is conducted by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office with the assistance of the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

Ewing Township municipal building from 10:00am – 2:00 pm
Saturday October 28th, 2017 will mark the Princeton Police Department’s 2nd Drug Take Back Day. The event will run from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Princeton Police Department, 305 21st Ave S.
