Police and paramedics are on the scene of a shooting in the 600 block of Southard St. where they found a man shot multiple times.
Police can be seen searching the sidewalk and around a nearby vehicle with flashlights looking for evidence

The shooting occurred just before 8 PM the victim was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a short time later

The Mercer County prosecutors office has confirmed the homicide. Witnesses say the man was not from the area

The Mercer County homicide task force is investigating.
