Solar eclipse 

Thousands of residence around Mercer County stepped outside to get a glimpse of the solar eclipse that passed through the region  Monday afternoon.   

The total solar eclipse on August 21st marks the first time in nearly 100 years an eclipse has crossed the entire United States.

The total eclipse happens when the earth, sun, and moon all line up perfectly.                                                A partial eclipse was seen from all over the U.S.
